Ridge Supports BCPP's Climb Against the Odds

It's the 20 year anniversary of Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP)’s annual mountaineering expedition, Climb Against the Odds. The event welcomes novice and expert climbers to summit Mt. Shasta’s 14,179 ft. peak as a collective effort to prevent breast cancer.

Since 1995, the Climb teams have challenged their bodies, expanded their minds, and honored their own or their loved one's experience with cancer. Climbers come from across the U.S. and are of various ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.

For the fifth year in a row, Ridge Merino is a proud sponsor of the event, outfitting the 22 mountain climbers with Aspect Merino Wool Base Layers to keep them comfortable in the variable conditions throughout the climb.

Team members gathered June 12-16 for the 20th Anniversary Climb Against the Odds on Northern California's 14,179 ft. Mt. Shasta.

In addition to taking on the physical challenge of climbing, the team has raised $200,000 and counting. Funds raised will support BCPP’s important work to eliminate exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation linked to breast cancer. The event has raised $9 million in its 20 year history.
