Ridge Merino's mission is to develop premium Merino wool apparel that performs as well in daily life as it does in the wildest outdoor conditions. 

Background: 

Ridge Merino is a family-owned business founded in 2014. For more than a decade, owner Jeff Russell led the development of technical apparel for professional athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who demanded the very best. Over the years he noticed a trend: professional athletes preferred wearing Merino wool next-to-skin instead of their sponsors’ synthetic-blend baselayers. If it was so good the pros would pay for it, the value of Merino was clear.

Merino wool is the gold standard in terms of athletic performance apparel – noted for its breathability, warmth and comfort. 

Products:

Ridge offers men’s and women’s Woolmark-certified 100% Merino wool base layers, mid layers, tees and tanks. The company also offers men's and women's underwear as well as several eco-friendly accessories.

Environment:

Committed to operating in a responsible and ethical manner, Ridge strives to use all-natural, renewable and biodegradable fabric and materials whenever possible. All of our wool comes from non-mulesed sheep and is sustainably sourced from certified humane sheep farmers in Australia and New Zealand. 

Every year, Ridge donates a portion of its sales to environmental nonprofits through its partnership with 1% For the Planet - a global movement of companies donating at least 1% of annual sales to sustainability initiatives. Ridge also received Green Business Certification in 2019.
